- First, look around the site to learn some things about the guild. Our progression, raid times, even the names of some members. Next, copy and paste the Cake Mafia Application from below into your post. Go through the questions, understand what is asked. If you don't understand a question, ask! It might be helpful to look through other applications to give a good indication of what is expected. Members might ask for more information, clarification, point out a mistake or two, or ridicule you for your stupid answer to the less serious questions.
Be sure to add some meat to your application. Some history, humor, anything about yourself that will help us get to know you. For the most part, people put as much effort into reading an application as you do creating it. Look at other applications to see what kind of things work.
Relate to the guild! We don't want to raid with a brick that can press buttons in the right order, we want someone who will, hopefully, become our friend. This is our chance to get to know you.
Look over your application for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Make sure what you're trying to say is neatly and accurately presented. Pretend that this is for a job. Be sure to follow up an application, talk to an officer or other member about the guild, ask a few questions. Make yourself stand out, focus on your strengths, and SELL YOURSELF!
